If you’re using a Canal Box and want to update your Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password, this quick guide will walk you through the exact steps. You’ll log in to the Canal Box management page, navigate to Wi-Fi settings, update your details, and save.
Use the steps below (with timestamps linked to the video) to follow along and finish in just a few minutes.
1) Open the Canal Box Management Page (⏱️ 01:33)
Open your browser and go to the Canal Box management URL shown in the video. This page lets you manage your subscription and your router settings (including Wi-Fi).
If you prefer reading, the creator also mentions a written guide on their blog that mirrors these steps.
2) Enter Your Router’s Serial Number (⏱️ 01:39)
When the page loads, you’ll see a prompt for your Serial Number. Find this on the sticker at the back/bottom of your Nokia/Canol router (usually near a barcode). Type it exactly as shown and proceed.
3) Confirm You’re Connected to Canal Wi-Fi (⏱️ 02:07)
Important: Your phone/PC must be connected to your Canal Box Wi-Fi for router (box) management to work. Subscription management may work from anywhere, but Wi-Fi changes require you to be on the local network.
4) Go to “My Box” → Wi-Fi (⏱️ 03:00)
After logging in, you’ll land on the dashboard showing your plan, reference number, and speeds. In the left sidebar, click My Box, then choose Wi-Fi. This opens your wireless network settings.
5) Change SSID (Wi-Fi Name) & Password, then Save (⏱️ 03:16)
Update your Wi-Fi name (SSID) in the name field (e.g., BenTex). The system may prefix 2G/5G automatically; that’s normal. Enter a strong password (12+ chars, mix of letters, numbers, and symbols). Optionally, review channel/band settings if needed.
Click Save to apply changes. Your router will push the new credentials and your devices will disconnect from the old network name/password.
6) Reconnect Devices & Test Speed (⏱️ 03:56)
On your phone/PC, forget the old network, then join your new SSID using the new password. If you have smart devices (TV, camera, speaker), reconnect each of them.
Optionally, run a quick speed test to verify your connection is stable after the change. The creator mentions posting speed tests and additional reviews.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
I can’t access the management page: Make sure you’re connected to your Canal Box Wi-Fi and that the serial number is typed exactly as on the router label.
My devices won’t reconnect: On each device, “Forget” the old network first, then connect to the new SSID using the new password.
2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz names: Some routers display 2G/5G prefixes automatically. You can keep one SSID for both bands or set different names if you like.
✅ You’re Done
Your Canal Box Wi-Fi name and password are now updated. Keep your credentials safe and share only with trusted users.
