Katakwi-The National Resistance Movement chairperson has unfolded the hidden root of politicians who come to convince electorates exchanging services for votes.
John Richard Edeket Opio, the NRM chairman is bitter that incumbent leaders and those vying for different positions have exhibited stupid mindset of promising empty promises especially services but later turn in exchange for votes.
Edeket unleashed pin pointing the incumbent leaders from commercial politics. Edeket says leaders have showcased leadership of transacting where they come in names of helping the community and after getting votes they withdraw their support.
He noted an incident where one of the ambulances in Donated by Ngariam County Mp Hon Peter Ogwang has been withdrawn from serving electorates.
Further, he cited that in Toroma county an Ambulance by Hon. Ossiya Solomon was taken back after defeat “look at Toroma county Hon Koluo’s Ambulance is cross cutting ferrying referred patients but some politicians who have commercialized politics have returned their ambulances. He said “
“Am irked with such politicians who come to exchange services for votes, look at pregnant women who need referrals but the ambulance has been withdrawn from the community”.
He also cautions electorates to desist from being lured to vote leaders who donate alcohol and money rather than services.
Robert Ariko also added his voice saying people should wake up from the politics of darkness and wake up to the light of Jesus who is the true ruler.
Meanwhile Abdul Okeng the district councilor for Palam Sub County also added his voice advising people to watch many politicians who have come to Katakwi transacting business of votes like mobile money agents business whose intention is to make profit.He is perturbed that the Katakwi leaders especially the Member of Parliament for Katakwi has failed to raise emotion under floor of parliament on matters of Okore, Palam and Ngariam parliament something he says is betraying electorates.
