Katakwi-Geoffrey Omolo the Katakwi district LC5 chairperson has finally spoken against politicking that he terms has caused disunity hence dragging service delivery and development of the district.
According to the LCV chairperson, there are some politicians who are peddling rumors blackmailing incumbent leaders in fear that they will make better names.
Omolo in comment disregards any sort of fake misinformation to the population that his regime failed to bring sanity to Katakwi following insecurity incidences caused by Karimojong; he says such misinformation fed to community is being peddled by politicians who are enemies of progress with intent of blackmail.
While revealing his political career Omolo said that there is time for everything and besides his political career will sort itself in 2026 as he first commits the 5 year term on better service.
“My term of LCV does not mean to waste a lot of time in cheap and local politics yet I am supposed to sensitize the local population about existing government programs” he said.
He has urged for peaceful coexistence among the politicians and people of Katakwi as the district persons to steer development.
Meanwhile Stephen Okure Ilemukorit, the former LCV Katakwi district has hailed the regime of Omolo for emphasizing bringing peace and security to Katakwi people through their efforts of fronting recruitment of the 12 guards at parish level in order to fight against insecurity caused by Karamojong cattle rustlers.
He Appeals electorates to desist from being used to fuel disunity which is an enemy to security, peace and progress of the district and accept to unite with leaders to sing for one common goal of development.
“Let’s vote wisely but don’t accept to be lured by alcohol to vote for leaders with bad backgrounds”.
